Advancing Mental Health Equity | Trauma-Informed Care | Youth Advocacy
Emma Richford, LMSW, is a dedicated licensed master social worker specializing in trauma-informed care, rural mental health, and youth advocacy. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maine and is actively pursuing her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. With experience in crisis intervention, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Emma has worked in inpatient mental health, early childhood behavioral health, and community-based youth programs.
Beyond direct practice, Emma is committed to policy advocacy and research, focusing on Indigenous rights, fair housing, and universal design in mental health spaces. She has contributed to grant writing, legislative training, and transportation equity research through her work with VEMI Lab and the Rural Integrated Behavioral Health in Primary Care (RIBHPC) program. She also actively engages in grassroots advocacy, leading efforts to challenge exclusionary policies in youth programs and athletics.
